On 2 August 2016 hundreds of invited students and their teachers will join us at the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, during Education Week to celebrate the centenary of The School Magazine. Thousands more people will join in the fun through live streaming of selected workshops and the official ceremony.

A special occasion

The Hon. Adrian Piccoli, Minister for Education, will launch our commemorative anthology, For Keeps. Our ambassadors, other dignitaries and honoured guests will present prizes to young writers and share stories about the one-hundred history of our much-loved magazine.

Wonderful workshops

The program includes an inspiring and entertaining array of workshops by some of Australia's most creative writers, artists and educators. Find out more about workshop presenters.

Virtual Excursion 

How to draw anything by Andrew JoynerThe workshop will be run by Andrew Joyner for a how-to-draw activity session.
