These days he can read as late as he likes but his twin baby girls often have other ideas! Although he might start the day yawning, he soon perks up when he arrives at his favourite job ever—being Editor of The School Magazine.

Bernice Cusack - Subscriptions Clerk

Bernice Cusack enjoys counting. She enjoys counting a lot. Whether it's counting petals on flowers to classify them, dropped stitches in knitting (not as enjoyable), the number of pets owned by her family (double figures) or the number of subscribers to The School Magazine, Bernice has always enjoyed counting.

While growing up in the United States, Karen Jameyson frequently had to be dragged out of libraries, kicking and screaming, "But I've only read 5000 of them!" Fortunately, once she was big enough to take the train alone (with a book for company), she got a job at an American magazine , where her main role was reading children's books and writing about them.

Sue Murray - Assistant Editor

Sue Murray has always loved playing with words: the way 'serendipity' rolls off the tongue; the many meanings of 'set'; the spelling of 'Woolloomooloo'. She's also always loved to perform. Her first job on leaving university in Western Australia was to be a juggling bunyip with a children's theatre company.

When Geoffrey McSkimming was a boy he found an old movie projector and a dusty home movie in his grandmother's attic. He screened the movie and was transfixed by the flickering image of a man wearing a jaunty pith helmet, and who had a beautiful macaw and a clever-looking camel.
